What an incredible few weeks it has been setting the tone for the year by humbling ourselves before the Lord, praying and seeking his face!

Look at the promise the Lord gave Solomon when He completed building the temple of the Lord; the place for his glory and presence to dwell:

“Then the Lord appeared to Solomon in the night and said to him: “I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a house of sacrifice.”
‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭7‬:‭12‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Let’s link this to Ephesians 2:21-22:
“in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭21‬-‭22‬ ‭ESV‬‬

We are now the temple of the Holy Spirit! (This includes you too, kids!)

He then promised Solomon:
“if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭7‬:‭14‬ ‭ESV‬‬

We are His people and he has called us by his name!

As we joined churches all across the state participating in crying out to God, I am confident that he has heard our prayer and even more so that we have touched and moved his heart. In our church body young and old laid aside the things of this world to focus on and turn our faith toward our Father in heaven, our Savior and King, our Friend and our Comforter, our Redeemer, our Peace, our Joy, our Hope, our Healer, our One thing, our God. From the oldest to the youngest, I feel through the Holy Spirit within me the voice of God saying, “I have heard your prayer”.

I hope this time has allowed you to draw closer to the Lord and to hear his voice. There is a part of me that is sad that fast is over, as much as I’m looking forward to going back to my usual diet and routine. I think it’s because there was a heavenly joy in the worship of laying aside the things that fill our lives to focus on Jesus. I know I have been changed by His power and His presence and I don’t want to leave!

The good news is we don’t have to wait until January to fast and pray. I encourage you to make a habit of fasting (could be once a month) or however the Lord leads you. Let’s continue to be a praying people and a praying church.

As we pray for God to heal our land, let’s grab ahold of the fact that we are included in His plan to do that. Jesus promised us that we would receive power to be his witnesses when the Holy Spirit comes on us. He calls and anoints us to preach good news to the poor, to bind up the broken hearted and to proclaim liberty to the captives. (Isaiah 61). Let’s allow the response to His call be, “hear I am, send me” and let’s keep running after Jesus like never before.

There is an increase of anointing and a new level of His glory and power for us to step into by faith as we continue to behold Him! We can allow the hunger for more of Him to continue to drive us into His presence and His purpose for the rest of the year.

Check out 2nd Corinthians 3:18:
“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.”

Let’s end this fast with praise and thanksgiving! Take time with your Family, or just you and Jesus this morning to reflect on the last 21 days. Tell stories of what God spoke, things you experienced or prayed for, things God is calling you to do. Talk about and thank God for all he has done! Put on some of your favorite praise and worship music and have a praise party in the living room!

What was one thing you noticed or learned during this fast?

Did God speak to you about anything or help you change something?
How can we keep seeking God even now that the fast is over?
What is one way our family can keep praying together?

The fast is officially over church! This has been AMAZING and so honoring to God!

Be blessed Family!

“To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭20‬ ‭ESV‬‬

- Angelo

To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭18‬-‭20‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Ok prayer warriors! Let’s take up the Lord's armor today, stay alert and persevere in prayer! As the song goes “ I’m fighting a battle, You already won”. Your prayers matter and they are powerful and effective even when it doesn’t feel like it! Let’s pray for each other, our families, our community, our coworkers! I love that the emphasis of the personal prayer that Paul asked for was that He would be given words to boldly proclaim the Gospel when he opened his mouth to speak! Let’s partner together in that prayer (and others) today.

God bless you and fill you fresh with the Holy Spirit as you fast and pray today.

-Angelo

In a moment of national crisis, the Lord searched for an intercessor, someone who would pray, contend, and plead for mercy on behalf of the land.

This verse reveals the power and responsibility of prayer. Intercession matters. When we pray, we step into the space between heaven and earth, asking God’s mercy, truth, and purposes to prevail. God invites His people to partner with Him, interceding for His will here on earth, building spiritual walls through prayers offered in faith.

The need has not changed. Our families, churches, cities, and nation still need men and women who will stand in the breach—who will pray when others remain silent, who will contend when the walls seem broken down.

Today, God is still looking—not for the perfect, but for the willing. Will we be the ones who respond?

Pray this prayer with me…

Lord, here I am. Send me. Teach me to stand in the gap through prayer. The God who created everything is interested in speaking to you and he knows you by name. I love that God initiated that prayer of Samuel by first calling his name. “Samuel! Samuel!”

Take a moment and put your name where Samuel’s name is and feel in the depths of your heart God calling you. Realize in a fresh way today that you matter to him and what would bless his heart the most is our response. Speak, your servant hears. Send me!

The prophet Isaiah also responded to the Lord in Isaiah 6 with these words “Here I am, Send me”. This response was only after a burning coal from the altar was brought to touch his lips and purify him, taking away his guilt and marking his sin as atoned for. This means his sin was paid for! God replied back to him, “GO”…

God speaks through his Word, by the Holy Spirit in us, in dreams and visions, through the preaching of his Word and prophetically through our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Jesus paid the price to purify us and sent the Holy Spirit to baptize us and gave us the command “GO into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation” Mark 16:15. Let’s allow the YES of Samuel and Isaiah to be the prayer and posture of our heart in this season.

- Angelo

As we fix our eyes on Jesus, re-surrender our lives to him and renew our hunger for him he is changing us by the power of his Spirit and his love.

A couple of days ago we dug into psalm 100 that closes with celebrating God's steadfast love and faithfulness that lasts FOREVER. Throughout all the generations of history as we look through the word we see God's love, mercy, patience, kindness and grace at work in the lives of normal imperfect people that put their faith in him. I love Romans 4:3 where it says “For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.””
‭‭Romans‬ ‭4‬:‭3‬ ‭ESV‬‬

We have good reason to believe God today! When we look at Abraham we see that his belief in God resulted in obedience to and action upon God's word and God's promise. We know and see now that God's promise to Abraham was fulfilled and still being fulfilled as all nations are coming to faith in Jesus. That he became a great nation and that all people are being blessed by him. “By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he went to live in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭ESV‬‬

As we reflect on God’s faithfulness and look to the promises in his word let’s ask him what he would have us do in 2026. Maybe he is already speaking to you about the plans he has for you this year. Maybe he is pointing out areas that he wants you to surrender. Maybe he is showing you the people he purposefully placed in your life to share his love and truth with.

Let’s allow our faith and the boldness that comes from the Holy Spirit to result in obedience and action TODAY!

God bless you as you fix your eyes on the King of Kings. We have his Spirit within us everywhere we go and we can bring our every moment into conversation with Him.

Remember we have a God who hears us!

Although we can pray anytime anywhere it is also important to carve out time to be alone with God to pray. We can focus on him and quiet all the other distractions to just be with him and talk to him. Remember that prayer is not a one way conversation as God will also speak to us by the Holy Spirit and his word.

Jesus modeled this for his disciples and for us.
“But he would withdraw to desolate places and pray.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬ ‭ESV‬‬

One of the prayers Jesus prayed that stands out to me is in Luke 22 where Jesus was about to be arrested and crucified, “saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.””
‭‭Luke‬ ‭22‬:‭42‬ ‭ESV‬‬

What a powerful prayer! Taking scripture and turning it into our prayer.

In this season of fasting let’s quiet ourselves to feel the heartbeat of God by the Holy Spirit within us. Let’s dig into his word so we can pray his word and his will into our lives. When we pray, we are not speaking into the air; we are coming before our loving Father, the Almighty God who hears us and moves in response to our prayers.

Scripture reminds us that prayer flows from relationship. Because we have been made righteous through Christ, our prayers carry power and authority—not because of who we are, but because of who He is. God delights in the prayers of His children, and He works through them to bring salvation, healing, restoration, wisdom, and breakthrough.

Jesus Himself modeled a life saturated in prayer. He prayed before major decisions, in moments of need, and in quiet places of intimacy with the Father. Prayer anchored His life and empowered His ministry. When we pray, we align our hearts with heaven and invite God’s will to be done here on earth.

Let’s pray…

Father, thank you for the gift of prayer and relationship with you. Thank you that I can come boldly before Your throne of grace through the precious blood of Jesus. Teach me to pray with faith, persistence, and trust, believing that You are at work even when I cannot see it. Holy Spirit lead me. Let my prayers be powerful and effective aligned with Your will. Father, Holy is your name! Your Kingdom come and your will be done here on earth as it is in heaven. We are encouraged in Hebrews 11:3 NLT, “By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.” This encourages us to see things from a God's perspective.

Healing took place at the cross so picture that it’s already done when you pray for healing . As we are humbling ourselves to seek God’s face and pray I can already sense a shift in the spirit. I feel that God is pleased with the posture of our heart as we look to Him as our EVERYTHING!

Yesterday at church we focused on the way that Jesus prayed. We saw how after spending a lot of time with Jesus the disciples asked him in Luke 11:1 “Lord teach us how to pray”

There was something about the way Jesus prayed that demonstrated his intimate connection to Father God. It was where Jesus got the instructions and how he always knew what to do and where to go. It was why he had power to heal and deliver and cast out evil spirits. Jesus knew that prayer turned on the faucet of Father God's power.

Jesus answered the discipleship with a prayer that really shapes the correct posture of the heart for prayer. Let’s look back at Luke 11.

“And he said to them, “When you pray, say: “Father, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation.””
‭‭Luke‬ ‭11‬:‭2‬-‭4‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Jesus wasn’t necessarily telling them to recite this prayer but teaching them the correct approach and pattern. Starting prayer by focusing on who God is and asking for HIS will and declaring HIS kingdom come.

Let’s practice this as we pray today and throughout the week.. As we look to Jesus as our “One Thing” and see him for who he is we can declare his kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven!

Walk in the power and strength of the Holy Spirit as you fast and pray and seek God today!

The Spirit of the Lord gave a prophetic word that they would not have to fight the battle because the battle was the Lords. I opened the oven to find that it was on fire so I got oven mitts and took it out. Just as I placed it on the counter, the Pyrex dish exploded sending glass everywhere and the french toast bread all over the floor!

The problem was that the plate was cold. Even though it was made to handle high heat when it was put in the oven while it was cold it couldn’t handle the fire and it burst into pieces. If I would have prepared the plate by allowing it to warm up it would not have broken.

‭‭Luke‬ ‭5‬:‭36‬-‭39‬ ‭ESV‬‬ says:
“He also told them a parable: “No one tears a piece from a new garment and puts it on an old garment. If he does, he will tear the new, and the piece from the new will not match the old. And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins and it will be spilled, and the skins will be destroyed. But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins. If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!””
‭‭Luke‬ ‭11‬:‭10‬-‭13‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Even as we humble ourselves, pray and seek God's face during this fast let’s ask our Abba Father for the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 58 has stirred my heart to be more focused on ministry and ways to love people. “Lord, point me in the direction you have for me to bless someone.” That’s His heart and I want to have that heart in my fasting and praying.

Each day seek Him and ask how your time during these 21 days can build on a deeper walk and talk with the Lord.

Isaiah 58:6-10
6 “Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
    and break every yoke?
7 Is it not to share your food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—
when you see the naked, to clothe them,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
8 Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
    and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness[a] will go before you,
and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.
9 Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;
you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.
“If you do away with the yoke of oppression,
with the pointing finger and malicious talk,
10 and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
then your light will rise in the darkness,
and your night will become like the noonday.

It is an act that says, “Lord, everything I have comes from You, and I place You first. I honor You and trust you as my provider.”

In the same way, I believe this fast is a prophetic act of tithing our lives in faith—all of our resources, our time, our appetites, our comforts, and our attention.

Leviticus‬ ‭27‬:‭30‬ ‭ESV‬‬ says:

““Every tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the trees, is the Lord’s; it is holy to the Lord.”

Malachi‬ ‭3‬:‭10‬ ‭ESV‬‬ says:

“Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.”

By fasting, we are saying:
“God, You come first. More than food, more than routine, more than our own strength—we hunger for You.”

This is worship.
This is full surrender.
This is alignment with His heart.

As we give the Lord these first days of the year, we trust Him to order the rest.

Pray this prayer with me:
“God all we have is yours, this whole year is yours, our whole lives are yours. We surrender all to you. Worthy are you Lord. Holy is your name! Your kingdom come and your will be done, here on earth as it is in heaven!”

May this season sharpen our spiritual hunger, deepen our dependence on God, and open our hearts to hear His voice more clearly.

Let’s go after Him together—expectant, humble, and full of faith!

“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” (James 4:8)

Our corporate prayer focus today is for our local leaders.

As we talked about in church on Sunday we have a God who hears us. He is attentive to our prayers and to our cries for mercy!

Today our focus will be praying for our nation. Let’s pray for revival to sweep across the United States like never before! 2 Chronicles 7:14 says “if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” Our nation needs healing and forgiveness. We are in desperate need of a touch of heaven and our prayers and posture before God directly affect this. Let’s turn from all other things to focus on Jesus today!

Be blessed as you seek His face!
‭
https://storage2.snappages.site/NPSK9T/assets/files/Fasting-FAQ-2026.pdf
