21 Day Fast Day 7

In 2 Chronicles 20 we see the story of Jehoshaphat King Of Judah. He had 3 armies joining against him for battle and was afraid.  2 Chronicles‬ ‭20‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭ESV says “Then Jehoshaphat was afraid and set his face to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. And Judah assembled to seek help from the Lord; from all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord.”

They prayed…

“‘If disaster comes upon us, the sword, judgment, pestilence, or famine, we will stand before this house and before you—for your name is in this house—and cry out to you in our affliction, and you will hear and save.” 2 Chronicles‬ ‭20‬:‭9‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“O our God, will you not execute judgment on them? For we are powerless against this great horde that is coming against us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”” 2 Chronicles‬ ‭20‬:‭12‬ ‭ESV‬‬

‭During the fasting and prayer the Lord gave the answer. The Spirit of the Lord gave a prophetic word that they would not have to fight the battle because the battle was the Lords. King Jehoshaphat had the worshipers go out in front of the army and sing “Give thanks to the Lord, for his steadfast love endures forever.” As they began to sing and praise the Lord the armies turned against themselves until every last one of them was slain.

When the army of Judah got to the battlefield they plundered it for 3 days and on the fourth day they blessed God. They joyfully returned to Jerusalem because the Lord had made them rejoice over their enemies.

In 2026, I believe the Lord would have us plunder the camp of the enemy. Let’s seek his face as we fast and pray in the midst of whatever the enemy has coming against. Let’s cry out to God about our situations and for our friends and family that need Jesus. He hears us and is mighty to save! Like Jehoshaphat and the army of Judah I encourage you to praise as we advance toward the camp of the enemy to plunder for the kingdom of God!

Be filled with the Holy Spirit today as you humble yourself before the King of Kings

P. S. Feel free to read 2 Chronicles 20 for the full story! It’s awesome!
