21 Day Fast Day 1

It’s the first day of our 21 day fast. It’s so awesome and powerful for us to humble ourselves and seek God together to start the year! I love that we are also joining with other churches across our state in this time of prayer and fasting.

Remember the most important part of fasting is to seek God and to draw close to Him. As we talked about in church on Sunday we have a God who hears us. He is attentive to our prayers and to our cries for mercy!

Today our focus will be praying for our nation. Let’s pray for revival to sweep across the United States like never before! 2 Chronicles 7:14 says “if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” Our nation needs healing and forgiveness. We are in desperate need of a touch of heaven and our prayers and posture before God directly affect this. Let’s turn from all other things to focus on Jesus today!
